Traditionally planters are suspended from arms away from the post often with a light fixture atop the post, we wanted to try and find a new way to present the idea of planter. The Eden luminaire and planter assembly combines the functionality of a Spring City luminaire with the aesthetic beauty of an elevated planter, and together creates a new type of product for Spring City, the post-top planter.
To make sure that the fixture is more than just a novel conceptual piece, the Eden luminaire is designed to accommodate all Spring City’s standard globe options and internal refractor kits, insuring it’s place as a functional lighting fixture. Plus, with our Vertical Type III and Type V Liteshield assemblies, environmentally conscious consumers would be hard pressed to find another luminaire that reduces light pollution as well as keeping our cities a little greener.
Another great aspect of this fixture design is the optional accent pieces that can adorn the planter bowl. Illustrated below are quartet of striking cast lion’s head medallions that compliment the fixture but could easily be replaced with any other custom accent pieces a customer might desire.
To illustrate how the Eden fixture compliments a variety of our post designs, we have presented here some sketches showing the Eden luminaire atop a trio of our one-piece cast posts. Our Ivy, Northampton, and Bryant Park cast posts compliment the fixture well though just about any of our posts can be combined with the Eden luminaire. The Eden fixture can also be placed atop a variety of our pier mount assemblies; here are just a few examples.
