Custom Historical Replication Project

Located in San Diego, California
Fixtures & Poles by Spring City

In 1925 the Mission Beach Seawall was created to connect the North Pacific Beach to the south Mission Beach where Belmont Park (formally known as the Mission Beach Amusement Center) is located. After a refurbishing project in the 1950s it was left with inaccurate lighting assemblies and most of the detailing work on the wall covered up. IS Architecture was brought on in 2015 to bring this historical piece of San Diego’s history back to its former glory. They were able to recreate the lost wall detailing and replaced the inaccurate lighting assemblies with historically accurate custom tooled Villa decorative luminaires & Edgewater poles by Spring City Electrical. A custom fitter, Tarboro struts and a Portland styled finial were made for the Villa luminaire to match the historical images. We’d like to thank Jojo Feliciano for the photos showing off this historic construction and IS Architecture for trusting Spring City to meet their lighting needs.
