The Virginial Episcopal School is a co-ed boarding & day school in Lynchburg, Virginia founded in 1906. Frederick H. Brooke designed the campus and was declared a Virginia Historic Landmark and National Register of Historic Places in 1992. Spring City originally lit the campus in 1993 with Nantucket stamped luminaires and a one piece Newburyport pole. This was recently changed to a Jefferson Dark Sky luminaire as part of a 15 year plan for the school. This new luminaire retains the historical design while protecting the students view of the night sky that is normally obscured by streetlights
