Designed in 1929, the Wrightsville Bridge was the longest multi-span concrete arch bridge in the world when built. The bridge has a distinct art deco design. Sometime after WWII the original lights were replaced. Two of the old bronze fixtures sat on a lawn of a local salvage yard as ornaments. When the community decided it was time for the bridge relighting project they contacted Spring City. From those two old fixtures along with photographs, Spring City reproduced historically accurate fixtures and poles, while simultaneously upgrading to the most advanced LED system available.
